Also in 1987 the Billfish participated in Shoot Ex '87 off Bermuda, the following photograph is from this excersize.
In 1988 the Billfish was transferred to Submarine Squadron 4 in conjunction with a refueling overhaul in Charleston.

In 1994 Billfish returned to Groton and was assigned to Squadron 2. In 1997 Squadron 4 moved from Charleston to Groton, and Billfish was again assigned to Squadron 4.
